SUMMARY:Mother's Day Walk - Lurgan Park
DESCRIPTION:Walk with her…Walk to remember her. \nThe Action Cancer Mother’s Day Walk is a fundraising event co-ordinated by the Lurgan Action Cancer Community Group. The walk will take place within the beautiful surrounds of Lurgan Park on Saturday 29th March and is a both an uplifting and tranquil experience. This is also a dog friendly walk so we encourage you to bring all members of your family. \nRegistration: £10 per adult (children under 16 free) \nThe walk begins at 12pm and will start (and end) at  bowling Pavilion by the tennis courts but you can register on the day from 11.00am. \nOnce back all participants will receive a medal and a well deserved cuppa tea and cake! \nAll monies raised will go towards helping Action Cancer continue to offer its many services some of which take place locally through visits from Big Bus visits to Lurgan and the surrounding area and the complementary therapy services for children and adults affected by cancer that take place in Zion House in the town. \nIf you are a whizz on the ‘socials’ click below to access the Mother’s Day Walk JustGiving page which you can forward to family\, friends and colleagues. \nAction Cancer Lurgan Mother’s Day Walk 2025 – JustGiving \n \nSupporting the Walk once again is Eleanor Hamilton\, mum\, sister\, daughter; “I took part in the Mother’s Day Walk last year and it was a really uplifting experience. Mother’s Day can be a time of dread and sadness but I want it to be a time for remembrance\, for celebrating the extraordinary women who were a very important part of my life. My niece and nephew also took part so that made it a real family affair as we don’t always have the opportunity to get together as we all live in different places. Even just being in the park which has been the backdrop to so many family gatherings brought so many precious memories flooding back.  It really was a morning of reflection and joy plus the tea and cake wasn’t too bad either!”. \n \nIf you require more information call Mark Irwin-Watson on 07580 133752 or email events@actioncancer.org \nPLEASE NOTE: Online registration will end at 5pm on 27th March.  \nRegister below and we will send out your fundraising pack! \n

SUMMARY:Host a Builders' Tea This Summer
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to announce that Action Cancer is partnering with Hagan Homes to run our Builders’ Tea campaign from June – September! \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe campaign helps us to educate local companies in the construction industry about the importance of skin cancer awareness as well as raising funds for Action Cancer’s Award-Winning Skin Cancer Detection Service. \nIn Northern Ireland\, Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer is the most common form of cancer. This type of skin cancer commonly occurs in outdoor workers such as those from the construction/farming industries. Through our detection service\, we provide early screening and diagnosis to identify potential skin cancer cases\, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary treatment at the earliest stages. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nFor more information on our Skin Cancer Detection Service click here \n\nDownload our Info Pack here \n\n \n\nTo register to take part please complete the form below.
