What can I donate? Thinking of donating your preloved items to an Action Cancer charity shop but unsure of what we can accept? Find out more information on what we can and cannot sell.
We always need good quality items to sell in our shops-so if you don’t need it, don’t throw it away, turn your pre-loved into re-loved! Help us raise funds to support our cancer prevention, detection and support services in Northern Ireland.
What we can sell
- Good quality, clean clothing and shoes (including vintage, retro, men’s, women’s and children’s clothing)
- Bags and accessories
- Jewellery and valuables
- Books
- Music
- Musical Instruments
- Homeware: china, kitchen, ornaments, pictures, collectables
- Soft furnishings: rugs, linens and curtains
- Knitted items and blankets
- Toys and Games
- Wedding dresses and accessories
- Bridesmaid dresses
- Mobile Phones
- Furniture (any upholstered items must have a fire safety label)
- Stamps and coins
- Electrical goods (excluding some kitchen appliances)
- Collectables
What we cannot sell
- Anything broken, dirty or unsafe
- Upholstered furniture without a correct fire label
- Wall units
- Medical equipment
- Perishable goods
- Children’s car seats
- Crash helmets
- Electric blankets
- Weapons
- Prescription Spectacles
- Oil Appliances
- Microwaves
- Dishwashers
