The Big Bus operates up to 4 days a week (generally Tuesday – Saturday, with alternating Fri/Saturday delivery) travelling to around 175 locations across Northern Ireland.
Through Action Cancer’s corporate partnerships, the Big Bus makes visits each month to selected SuperValu and Centra stores. The Big Bus also visits some Gordons Chemists stores during October, for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. At these locations, appointments are always available to the general public.
However, for most of our Big Bus schedule, we rely on local community organisations, schools, workplaces, councils and other public sector bodies hiring the Big Bus for a day, allowing their members, local contacts or employees to avail of appointments on board, planning our Big Bus schedule 4-6 weeks in advance.
