We are excited to announce that after an amazing response in 2023, Action Cancer will be running our Builder’s Tea campaign again from 1st June – 1st September!

The campaign helps us to educate local companies in the construction industry about the importance of skin cancer awareness along with raising funds in conjunction with Action Cancer’s Skin Cancer Detection Service – which has just turned one in April.

In Northern Ireland, Non-Melanoma Skin Cancer is the most common form of cancer. This type of skin cancer commonly occurs in outdoor workers such as those from the construction/farming industries. Through our detection service, we provide early screening and diagnosis to identify potential skin cancer cases, ensuring that individuals receive the necessary treatment at the earliest stages.

Last year, we managed to raise £7000 across July and August which has allowed us to provide 58 skin cancer detection appointments with our skin specialist nurses here at Action Cancer.

In 2024 with your help we would love to ‘build’ on this and make it to £10,000. By participating in this campaign not only are you raising vital funds but showcasing your dedication to corporate social responsibility and the well-being of your employees.
